(Reuters) – The UK stated on Thursday it had evacuated greater than 13,000 folks from Afghanistan, with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson saying his authorities would proceed with its evacuation operation in Kabul after an assault close to the airport.
“The navy evacuation of Afghan and British nationals, below Operation PITTING, has to this point extracted 13,146 folks out of Kabul for the reason that mission started on Friday 13 August,” Britain’s Ministry of Defence stated in a press release late on Thursday.
