SHANGHAI (Reuters) – Common Studios’ Beijing resort will formally open on Sept. 20, China’s state broadcaster CCTV stated on Monday, citing the theme park.
The park, a three way partnership between Comcast Corp’s Common Parks & Resorts and state-owned Beijing Shouhuan Cultural Tourism Funding, will start trial operations on Sept. 1, CCTV stated.
Common Studios introduced the event of the resort – the world’s fifth Common Studios-branded theme park – in 2014, saying on the time it might value $3.3 billion.
Its opening date has been postponed for a number of months as a result of coronavirus pandemic, native media stated.
Along with rides, reveals and points of interest, motels, and a retail, eating and leisure complicated, it would embody experiences designed to replicate China’s cultural heritage, Common stated on its web site.
Beijing Shouhuan Cultural Tourism Funding is owned by 5 Beijing state-owned corporations, together with Beijing Tourism Group, one of many nation’s greatest tourism companies, in line with the park’s web site.
